Why choose GRUUN pans?

PFAS-free pans made from recycled aluminium

A good pan is something you use almost every day. That's why we believe a pan should not only make cooking easier, but also be a conscious choice. GRUUN pans combine ease of use, quality and sustainability in one collection designed for everyday cooking.

Every pan in the Essential Collection is made from recycled aluminium. Aluminium conducts heat quickly and evenly, allowing ingredients to cook evenly while helping you save energy. Thanks to their lightweight design, the pans are comfortable to handle and easy to use, even if you cook regularly.

Healthy cooking with a PFAS-free ceramic coating

All GRUUN pans feature the Swiss ILAG® Xeradur 3 ceramic non-stick coating. This high-quality coating is completely PFAS-free. It allows you to cook easily with less oil or butter and helps prevent ingredients from sticking.

The ceramic coating also provides excellent heat distribution, allowing your food to cook evenly. From a fried egg to vegetables, fish, meat or an elaborate pasta sauce: the pan does exactly what you expect it to.

Suitable for every kitchen

Whether you cook on induction, gas, ceramic or electric, GRUUN pans are suitable for all heat sources. They are also oven-safe, allowing you to easily finish dishes in the oven. After cooking, the pans can go straight into the dishwasher, although hand washing remains the best choice if you want to preserve the coating for as long as possible.

Designed for everyday use

At GRUUN, we believe sustainable products should above all be used often. That's why we develop kitchenware that lasts for years and is enjoyable to use every day. No complicated features or unnecessary extras, just smart products that do exactly what they're designed to do.

In addition to using recycled aluminium, we consciously choose to use as little plastic as possible in our packaging. Step by step, we're reducing our impact without compromising on quality or ease of use.

Whether you're looking for a frying pan for your everyday breakfast or a sauté pan for an elaborate one-pan meal, GRUUN pans provide a sustainable foundation for every kitchen.

Frequently asked questions

What does PFAS-free mean?
PFAS-free means that GRUUN pans do not contain PFAS. These are chemicals that were commonly used in non-stick coatings in the past. Thanks to the high-quality ceramic ILAG® Xeradur 3 coating, you can cook safely and consciously while enjoying excellent cooking performance.
Are the pans suitable for induction?
Yes. All GRUUN pans are suitable for induction, as well as gas, ceramic, electric and halogen hobs. This means you can continue using the same pan if you switch to a different heat source.
Can the pans be used in the oven?
Yes. The pans are oven-safe, making them ideal for dishes that you start cooking on the hob and then finish in the oven.
Are the pans dishwasher-safe?
Yes. All pans are dishwasher-safe. Want to keep the ceramic coating looking its best for as long as possible? We recommend washing the pan by hand with warm water and a soft sponge.
How do I prevent food from sticking?
Allow the pan to heat up gradually before you start cooking. Use a small amount of oil or butter and preferably cook over medium heat. This helps you get the best performance from the ceramic non-stick coating.
Which utensils should I use?
We recommend using wooden, silicone or plastic utensils. These help protect the ceramic coating and extend the lifespan of the pan.
Why isn't my pan working properly on induction?
Check whether the diameter of the cooking zone matches the base of the pan. Also make sure both the induction hob and the pan are clean and dry for optimal heat transfer.
Can I use the same pan on different heat sources?
Yes. GRUUN pans are suitable for all heat sources. If you previously cooked on gas and later switch to induction, you can continue using the same pan.
Why does GRUUN use recycled aluminium?
Recycled aluminium has the same strong properties as new aluminium but requires fewer new raw materials. It also provides fast and even heat distribution, allowing you to cook efficiently and comfortably.
What is the difference between a ceramic coating and a PFAS-free coating?
A ceramic coating can be PFAS-free, but this is not always automatically the case. GRUUN pans feature a high-quality PFAS-free ceramic ILAG® Xeradur 3 coating, so you can be confident you're choosing a safe and sustainable non-stick coating.
